Hey Shorts fans,
It became apparent to me pretty quick that this blog wasn’t going to work out too well. It was fun to write, but in just over a week it got boring and became more work than fun. People seemed to know as soon as I started the blog, because they stopped saying things or commenting on my shorts, which made it hard to actually write about it. I never wanted to make up whole posts with this blog; I wanted there to be more truth than not, but with my own fun spin. For a very short while, that worked out well. But the same people said the same things day in and day out, and new people I met didn’t say much of anything, didn’t notice, or just thought I was crazy silently to themselves.
So I stopped writing about it. I had always meant to come back and post about this, letting you all know what was going on and why I stopped writing, I just felt really bad because I barely made it a week. I do want this blog to be something, but I’m honestly not sure what that is yet. My friend started chronicling her “fitness journey” on facebook and I was thinking of doing something like that on here for myself. I dropped 40 pounds or so last year, and I want to drop at least 20-30 more this year and then keep it off, but I’ve been slipping a bit and, like her, I think this would hold me more accountable to myself if no one else.
There are other ideas that I have to post here, and maybe I’ll mix them in together here and there, but I need to hash those out a bit more first. If you’ve stuck with me this far, both in this post and with the absence on the blog, I thank you. Look for more content to be coming soon, I promise. And of course I’ll throw in the occasional shorts post, though it’s coming up on summer, so they may not be as fun.
Stay short fans!
